Beyond layers of hills, robed with dense forests of oak and pine trees, Bhurban is the most famous hill station of Pakistan.Located at approximately 13 km from Murree Hills and two hours’ drive from Islamabad, it offers its visitors scenic splendor and adventure sports. With billiard rooms, children’s activity centre and options like hiking, trekking or a perfect sun walk down the lane of lush green forests, Bhurban has few peers as a year-round holiday destination. It is also known for a 9-hole golf course, which is a golfer’s delight during the summer season. In winter, the snowflakes sweep down making the town look like a fantastic fairyland of white beauty.

Entry

Air:
Bhurban is two hours’ drive from Islamabad’s international airport, which has all the leading airlines flying in and out of the city. Frequent flights are available for travel, within the country, connecting all the major cities.

Train:
The nearest railway station in Rawalpindi has all the major trains connecting to other cities, like Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta.

Road:
Bhurbun is reachable by a well-conditioned main road in a scenic journey of about two hours through densely wooded hills. Best deals and best buses can be found in Rawalpindi. Long distance buses leave from and arrive at the Pir Wadhai and Daewoo Bus station. Cars too can be rented with a nominal deposit.

Places of Tourist Interest :
Bhurban offers a variety of breath-taking locations - lush green slopes, ridges, moors, streams, brooks and waterfalls. Just a short drive away, you find:
• Murree and its shopping mall.
• Patriata, at 9,000 feet with its chairlifts and cable cars.
• Ayubia - the tallest summit with lift chairs.
• Nathiagali - at 9,500 feet with its natural splendor.
• Tattapani with hot sulphur springs.
• Kohala bridge.
• Muzaffarabad - A gateway to Kashmir

Weather :
Most of the people come to Bhurbun to escape the scorching heat in summers (May – September) while other visit in the winters to enjoy a rare spectacle of snow (November – February) which is a treat to the people living on the plain. Dazzling twilight and cloud effects are daily features during the July and August rains. It is advisable to check current weather before making any arrangements which are dependant on weather conditions.
